04/06/2010 - Simply Biz announces Managing Directors roles

Simply Biz PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Timmins & Neil Stevens as Joint Managing Directors of The Simply Biz Group. The appointments follow the death two weeks ago of Ian Thorneycroft who held the position of MD since the launch of Simply Biz in 2002.

Commenting on the appointment Ken Davy, Chairman of Simply Biz said

“Both Matt and Neil have already played a major part in the development and outstanding success of Simply Biz and they now have the opportunity to use their dynamism & obvious talents to take the Group to the next level of success. I am extremely excited by the prospect of working with them in their new roles”.

Timmins added:

“I am thoroughly delighted to take on the challenge (with Neil) of driving this exceptional company forward once again. I have been a director of the business since inception in 2002 and therefore I know what an outstanding proposition we have and what a talented bunch of staff we have delivering high quality services to the firms we serve. It is our job now to retain the great culture and ethos we have at Simply Biz whilst maximising on the potential to grow the business and enhance our offering still further”.

Neil Stevens commented:

“Simply Biz, with Ken at the helm, is an extremely professional and well run business that since its launch has retained a total focus on delivering to the firms we serve and supporting the IFA profession as a whole. I am delighted to take up the position of Joint Managing Director of the Group and will ensure that as Simply Biz and Compliance First move forward, we retain that core focus of delivering quality compliance and business services and supporting the sector in taking maximum advantage of the exciting opportunities ahead”.

The new appointments will take effect immediately. Further announcements regarding organisational changes and responsibilities will follow in due course.
