07/11/2006 - SimplyBiz MD completes 10 day walk for MacMillan

Ian Thorneycroft, MD of SimplyBiz returned to the UK on Thursday 26th October having completed his 10 day hike along the Great Wall of China to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. By the time all donations are received, Ian will have raised over £12,000 for the charity. Ian commented: “I would like to thank all the staff and members of SimplyBiz and the providers who gave up their time, their money and were so supportive in so many ways. It was tough at times - however the locals were tremendous, the wall is truly awesome and the whole experience was something never to be forgotten. I have to say the camping was the toughest part, especially the toilet facilities, and I don’t even want to see another Chinese meal this side of Christmas! I’m delighted that I was able to raise this money for such a good cause. Whenever I struggled on the walk I just thought of all the people that would benefit from the proceeds and it helped me to carry on.”
