26/02/2007 - Lord Sebastian Coe Presents SimplyBiz Partnership Awards

Leading IFA support service provider SimplyBiz held their second Annual Partnership Awards Event on Wednesday the 21^st of February at the Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield.

Lord Sebastian Coe presented each of the product providers with their awards and congratulated the winners on their achievements.

The day was an opportunity for SimplyBiz to thank product providers for their role in what had been another highly successful year for SimplyBiz and its member firms. The past 12 months in particular have seen significant improvements in services levels to IFA clients of SimplyBiz firms from product providers.

The guest list was made up of representatives from the UK’s major product providers and investment houses. Delegates arrived for a drinks reception which was followed by the Awards Presentation. The presence of Lord Sebastian Coe, who personally handed out each of the 16 awards, added extra cachet to an already prestigious evening.

Ian Thorneycroft, Managing Director of SimplyBiz, hosted the Awards Ceremony and commented:

“The winners of each of the Awards were judged on a combination of research and feedback from SimplyBiz member firms coupled with our own practical experience of dealing with the individual product providers.”

Amongst the winners of the evening were:

AXA: Best Overall Service

Zurich: Partner of the Year

AEGON Scottish Equitable: Provider of the Year

SimplyBiz Chairman Ken Davy concluded the Awards Presentation by outlining the success SimplyBiz had achieved during 2006. Davy also commented that 2007 is set to be another exciting year of growth and that SimplyBiz was determined to remain focussed on its core objective of delivering outstanding support and quality service to all its member and client firms.

Guests were then treated to a Gala dinner with Lord Coe as the main speaker. Lord Coe gave an insight into the successful London 2012 Olympic bid and the plans and aspirations for the event itself in 2012.
