14/03/2008 - SimplyBiz hold third annual Partnership Event

The third annual SimplyBiz Partnership Event was hosted by the Huddersfield based IFA compliance and business support services company on the 13^th March. The event, held at the University of Huddersfield, was attended by 70 guests from product providers and supporters of the SimplyBiz community. During the day, guests took part in an ‘It’s a Knockout’ style championship before arriving at the University for a formal dinner followed by the SimplyBiz Partnership Awards, with fourteen award categories including; Best Microsite, Best New Entrant to the SimplyBiz Community, Best Overall Service of the Year and Provider of the Year.

Ian Thorneycroft, Managing Director of SimplyBiz, commented:

“Partners of the SimplyBiz community offer us and our member firms a lot of support and we see this annual event as a worthwhile way of recognising exceptional service – whether that is consistent or improved. The results of the ceremony are voted for by our membership and therefore we are sure these awards mean a great deal to those who receive them.”

Winners on the evening included Legal and General, for Protection Company of the Year, Standard Life, named Pension Company of the Year and M&G, who received the award for Fund Manager of the Year. Zurich, Metlife and Skandia all scooped awards in two categories each. The award for Provider of the Year was won by Skandia, with Standard Life and Norwich Union in second and third place.
