09/06/2008 - NMBA boast + 700 registrations
New Model Business Academy
Over 700 users from 527 separate IFA firms have already registered for the New Model Business Academy, the not for profit training and development division of the SimplyBiz Group launched last month.
Commenting on the progress Ken Davy, Chairman of SimplyBiz, said:
“We knew the demand for the New Model Business Academy’s services would be substantial, however, the initial response has been quite astonishing with over 2500 unique site visits, of whom about 30% have registered right away. We have also already seen over 1400 downloads of free information, mostly of past exam papers, which again demonstrates the enormous value the NMBA has been able to deliver in such a short time. Given the advanced technology involved, we are also delighted at the robust way all the systems have coped with this huge demand, all of which augurs well for the continued success of the New Model Business Academy.”
The Academy offers support to its users in four main areas – professional qualifications, retirement and succession planning, the sharing of ideas and the ever changing business model. To date, the Professional Qualifications section of The Academy has proved to be the most commonly used by members, with over 1400 documents already downloaded from the site:
Steve Braidford, Managing Director of the New Model Business Academy, commented:
“The recent series of TCF workshops which we have held around the country have indicated that the training and development of advisers and staff is something our members are focussing on very heavily and we are 100% dedicated to simplifying this process. Training and development – be it professional or personal – should be approached as long-term investments for the future, rather than just a quick fix, and the New Model Business Academy helps each individual user to plan their personal career map. The popularity of the free downloads of past papers and training material for examinations in particular has proven that there is a real demand for The Academy in the financial services profession, and we are delighted to have already helped so many advisers and their staff advance down the road to increased professionalism.”
