Marketing Officer

Reports to: Marketing Manager
The Department:
The Marketing Department has responsibility for client recruitment, retention strategies, management of our key relationships with business partners and communications throughout the company.
The way in which the Marketing Department manage our workload is through a combination of teamwork, enthusiasm and hard-work. Although every member of the team has a clearly defined job role we also understand that in a developing company it is important to help out other areas of the department, and the company, at various times.
Marketing Officer Main Purpose:
To fulfil areas within the SimplyBiz marketing strategy, as defined by the Head of Marketing Services.
Key Accountabilities
• Administration of the Practice Buyout scheme, including promotion and arrangements for meetings of participating member firms.
• Relationship management of the Simply Deals partners including maintenance of their micro sites, promotion of the services and the production of management information.
• Ownership of the relationship with Simply Legal & Associates.
• General maintenance of SimplyBiz website including particular accountability for the Simply Debate, Notice Board and Capital reward areas.
• Compilation of the annual online Fact Find for members.
• Production of management information for the monthly board report.
• Assisting Marketing Manager with press releases and communications to the membership.
• Assist the Events team with negotiations and general administration when required.
• Assist in the production of in house video footage.
• Ad hoc project work as required.

• Marketing or Events qualification is desirable
• Video editing experience is desirable

Compliance Consultant
- Remain up to date with regulatory changes and policy.
- Provide telephone and email ‘Help-Desk Service’ that allows individual member queries to be answered promptly and accurately.
- Research and investigate individual firm queries to provide robust and complete answers.
- Assisting the Compliance Manager with the training and development of Compliance Advisers
- Contribute to bulletin material and research material.
- TELEPHONE/ EMAIL HELP-DESK
- Technical accuracy of advice given to members
- Promptness and completeness of responses
- Coherency of responses given – Answered in full, understood in full
- Logging call content and type
- Providing an equivalent service level for E-Mail replies
- TRAINING
- Assisting the Compliance Manager in detailing and documenting business processes and providing technical information for this purpose.
- Assisting the Compliance Manager in detailing and documenting internal bulletins and training material that will be used for staff training and communication
- Assisting the Compliance Manager with the training and development needs of the Compliance Advisers

Experience in a compliance role is essential.

Hold FPC or equivalent qualifications is desirable.
