Sarah is very proud to have been awarded the “CBI/RealFD FDs’ Excellence Award – Young Finance Director of the Year 2008'.

Sarah has worked in finance for over 18 years, including running her own accountancy practice for small businesses and being Head of Finance for the Huddersfield Giants here at the Galpharm Stadium.

Sarah has overall responsibility for the finances of the SimplyBiz Group on both a strategic level and on a day to day level regarding management information and the membership services.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys shopping, running (most recently completed 10km), salsa dancing, eating out, reading and, of course, spending time with her children!

Alison has nine years accountancy experience working for a variety of businesses from manufacturing, publishing and printing to the service sector. Alison has recently passed her final ACCA exams and is a qualified Accounting Technician. Responsibilities include overseeing the collection of member fees, additional fees and PII premiums and assisting Sarah with the management accounts.

Alison enjoys spending time with her daughter and when she gets any spare time (which is rare in the Daley household!) she enjoys baking, playing and listening to music, and socialising with friends.

Carmel has twenty eight years accounts experience, previously within a media environment. She is responsible for the monitoring and charging of membership fees and liaising with Sarah regarding other accounts-related activities.

Carmel enjoys traveling, socialising and singing with friends. The highlight of her musical career to date has been singing alongside one hundred and fifty other choir members at the Royal Albert Hall.

Gillian joined SimplyBiz at the beginning of March 2008 as an Accounts Co-Ordinator where she took over the responsibility of purchase ledger across the SimplyBiz Group. However, in September she became a trainee accountant and now spends much of her time on Compliance First Limited as well as attending night school two evenings per week to study towards her AAT qualification!

In her spare time she is a mad keen rugby league fan, following both her local amateur team, Liversedge and her Super League team, the Leeds Rhinos (sorry Ken!). Out of season you will find her camping in a field somewhere with a vodka & diet coke in one hand and a good book in the other!

Ruth has worked in financial services for eleven years and at SimplyBiz her main focus at the moment is integrating the Compliance First accounting systems.

In her spare time, Ruth enjoys spending time with her daughter Lilly and is a keen photographer, gardener and cook. Multi-talented Ruth currently works at SimplyBiz on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.

Brenda has spent many years working in banking within many different departments, but more recently in the retail sector on sales ledger, aged debtors and credit control. She joined SimplyBiz in May 2008 and is the Accounts Co-ordinator for additional services, responsible for monitoring and charging for services such as compliance visits and file checks.

She returned to UK in April after emigrating to Canada, having spent six months there, she is now glad to be back home! She is still anxiously waiting for her beagle to get his pet passport so he can join the family.

In between being a personal taxi service for her two daughters, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, tap dancing (heard all the jokes before), badminton and reading.

Daniel has worked in finance for 5 years and is currently studying towards his accounting qualifications. Before joining SimplyBiz he previously worked in manufacturing and therefore is new to the world of financial services. Prior to this he worked and studied abroad in Spain and Sweden.

In his role as Assistant Accountant he provides all-round support to the finance team, including the preparation of the monthly management accounts for Bespoke Compliance Solutions Ltd and maintenance of the Bordereau for SimplyBiz Support Ltd.

His interests include foreign language study, martial arts and football, and is a fan of Huddersfield Town.

Laura is brand new to the finance industry, having come from an interiors company that fits out restaurants such as Frankie & Bennys and Nandos. She has taken over the responsibility of Purchase Ledger across the SimplyBiz Group.

In her spare time, she has a part-time job behind a bar to pay for her upcoming wedding and honeymoon to Kenya next year.

She also enjoys socialising, camping, dancing and loves singing, having sung at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax, on Channel M on Sky and extremely briefly on X-Factor.

Kathryn has worked in financial services for seven years, most of which has been spent working as the PA of Matt Timmins, Marketing Director. She has now moved on to aid new staff through their internal welcome process. She also holds overall responsibility for employee contracts, employment law, staff holidays, staff training and the recruitment of new employees.

Most of Kathryn's spare time is spent caring for her son Otto and her two beagles Archie and Dexter. She enjoys shopping, the taste of fine wine and is partial to a bit of chocolate.
