Michelle has worked in the marketing department at SimplyBiz since December 2004. In her role as Head of Strategic Relationships Michelle ensured that SimplyBiz Member Firms received valuable information from our partners to enable them to get more from their business. In October 2009 Michelle moved to a new role: Head of Marketing Services. Michelle is determined to ensure SimplyBiz continues to deliver the best possible services to Member Firms, listening to their requirements and fulfilling these wherever possible in all areas of the business.

Prior to working at SimplyBiz, Michelle was a perpetual student, completing a B.A. and M.A. from the University of London. Her field of interest and expertise is Ancient Roman history, and she has spent many years studying identity and social constraints in Neronian Rome.

Michelle has many interests outside work including travel, walking, cooking, eating out, reading, shoes, and for 2010 – wedding planning! Michelle also has three goldfish, 2 cats...and wants a dog...

Terry joined SimplyBiz in February 2010 as Head of Strategic Relationships and his role is to manage the relationships with Provider partners to ensure all parties get maximum benefit from a robust and structured business relationship.

Terry has been in Financial Services for 20 years and before that worked in Consumer Finance, Banking, Business Development and Training. He has always been heavily involved in the Business Development aspect while working with providers and advisers and holds marketing, training and coaching qualifications.

Having been to PE college many years ago and playing semi professional football is an avid follower of pretty much any sport, in particular rugby, football, cricket, horse racing etc...
He lives in Mid-Wales and also enjoys walking, travel, good food, proper beer and Welsh Rugby!!

Rachel started her career in financial services with Guardian Royal Exchange in 1987 and has held a variety of sales roles with Allied Dunbar and Liverpool Victoria. Her last role was at Bankhall where she was Sales Manager for Point One. She has been at SimplyBiz since August 2004.

In her spare time she loves having quality time with her family, skiing, walking their 2 dogs and going to the gym.... also known as the pub!

Becca Butcher, Head of Operations, Capital Reward

Becca is the Head of Operations for Capital Reward. Her role involves managing the information flow from product providers to members ensuring that all business written by member firms with the product providers on board with Capital Reward is correctly attributed. She deals with member enquiries together with ensuring processes are in place to bring new product providers onto Capital Reward. Becca also manages the company secretarial aspects of Capital Reward

Previously, Becca worked at Business Link West Yorkshire as the Business Systems Manager. She was responsible for making sure that the head office function ran smoothly and that the business was compliant with its funder’s obligations. Her responsibilities included running the audit & compliance, contracting and quality departments, documenting the business’ processes, ensuring the company’s legislative compliance as well as managing the premises.

When she’s not working, Becca enjoys being a Mum to her two children.

Natalie has worked in marketing for over 12 years across several industries from engineering, marketing agency side and retail before joining SimplyBiz in 2003.

Prior to working at SimplyBiz, Natalie completed a Masters (MSc) in Marketing from Huddersfield University and a degree in English and History (B.A. Hons) from Bradford University. She is currently studying for the IDM Diploma in Direct and Interactive Marketing.

Natalie works part time after having a little girl in December 2007 and a little boy in September 2009. In her spare time Natalie loves horse riding, theatre and travel.

Asta joined SimplyBiz in July 2006 after moving to the UK from Perth, Australia. She graduated from Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia with a degree in Physics in 2004.

She has worked in many industries over the years, from Isotope Research to Interior Design. After having her little girl in November 2008 Asta works part time at SimplyBiz, spending the rest of her days at home with her daughter. In her spare time, of which there isn’t very much, she enjoys reading and relaxing as much as possible, and getting ready for the next little arrival who is due in September 2010.

Laura has worked in financial services for over 10 years including previous roles in recruitment, corporate events and customer service.

Her roles at SimplyBiz include managing the marketing retention team, overseeing the organisation of Simply Events throughout the country, issuing press releases and articles, managing communications to members and the SimplyBiz website and providing marketing support to Capital Reward and the New Model Business Academy.

In her spare time, Laura has just finished her third year of a part time degree in English Literature at Huddersfield University.

Selena started her financial career at Bradford and Bingley in 2007. She moved on to join the SimplyBiz marketing team in April 2009 as Strategic Relationship Manager. She account manages over 15 product providers ensuring that they maintain effective relationships with the SimplyBiz Member Firms through a range of marketing communication channels.

Selena has worked in marketing-related roles over the last 5 years following the completion of her Masters in Advertising and Marketing from Leeds University Business School. Previously she attended the University of Warwick, obtaining a BA in Classical Civilisation with Philosophy. She has successfully passed her CF1 in Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics, CF2 qualification in Investment and Risk and CF3 in Financial Protection.

Outside work Selena enjoys most sports having played both tennis and hockey for Lancashire. She also holds a yellow belt in Karate and has recently taken up electric guitar.

Gavin joined SimplyBiz in 2010 after gaining 1 years marketing experience at public sector organisation YPO. Gavin also holds a BA degree in Global Marketing, he completed his final year at Huddersfield University. For the first 2 years of his degree Gavin studied at Tietgen Business College in Odense, Denmark.

Gavin enjoys travelling and has previously lived in Paris, France and Tuscany, Italy before moving to Odense in Denmark where he started University. Gavin is a Sheffield Wednesday fan and in his spare time he will be found either watching football or in the gym.

Having completed a Graphic Communication degree at the University of Wales Institute in Cardiff, Matt is the Marketing Designer for SimplyBiz. His main role is to promote SimplyBiz through a range of communication methods including; direct mail, brochures, newsletters, and microsites.

In his free time, Matt enjoys swimming and running. He also likes to keep in touch with developments in the world of design.

Lisa joined the SimplyBiz Marketing team following a period of temporary work at the company, during which she assisted both the admin and marketing teams. She is thoroughly enjoying her new role working with the Product Providers. Her responsibilities include; coordinating amendments to Provider Micro sites, advertising special offers and competitions and assiting Michelle with Live Chat.

Prior to working for SimplyBiz, Lisa gathered valuable and varied experience from other temporary roles including recruitment and working in a school finance office. Lisa also attended Loughborough University where she completed a BSc in Human Biology.

Out of work, Lisa is a part-time party planner and enjoys nothing more than pampering people in their own homes. In her spare time (when she gets some!) she enjoys decorating, shopping, reading and walking.

Katy joined SimplyBiz in October 2009 as part of an Internship scheme with the University of Huddersfield. In January 2010 she took over the role as Events Coordinator. She graduated from Huddersfield University in 2009 with a BA Hons in Public Relations with Media.

Katy has gained events experience by being a hands-on employee at a golf club where Weddings and corporate events were held. She is currently undertaking further education by doing a distance learning Events Management course.

In her spare time Katy will be found in the kitchen baking or enjoying spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys being outside and when she visits home loves to walk her three dogs.

Rachel joined SimplyBiz in 2010 after starting an internship as a Marketing Assistant. She graduated from Huddersfield University in 2009 with BA Hons in English and Media.

She previously worked for the NHS for two years in the Accident and Emergency Department as well as working for local radio stations presenting the news. Even though Rachel has no financial background she has over 6 years of Customer Service experience and is enthusiastic to learn more.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys watching and playing cricket, shopping, cars, rounders and football as well as reading classic novels and volunteering for her local radio station. She also loves Kinder Eggs and Rose wine.
