Client Files

If you have been with a network they have a contractual right and regulatory obligation to retain the original client files when you leave. This would enable them to deal with a subsequent complaint efficiently.

On submission of your notice to leave, the network will provide you with a list of their requirements. This should obviously be followed as diligently and rapidly as possible.

SimplyBiz will be pleased to advise you on what client information you should keep and on what you should, if appropriate, hand to your network. We will also provide guidance on how this information can be compiled. Obviously when starting as a new directly regulated firm it is a good opportunity to move forward with only those clients you intend to provide with a continuing service.
