SimplyBiz launches first Investment Forums of 2020 SimplyBiz launches first Investment Forums of 2020

31 Jan 2020

The first round of SimplyBiz Investment Forums, taking place in 21 locations across the UK, will begin in Cornwall on 4 February.  The events feature presentations from Investec, Invesco, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Zurich, Verbatim and Aberdeen Standard.

The CII and LIBF accredited events offer four hours of structured CPD and include a global market update, deep dives into the UK and US markets, an exploration of collective investments and strategic asset allocation modelling and an evaluation of the role of luck and skill in active fund management.  In addition, there will be a regulatory update from a SimplyBiz compliance director, looking at the biggest compliance issues of the moment including SM&CR, the recent ‘Dear CEO’ letter and vulnerability.

Richard Ardron, Marketing Director of The SimplyBiz Group, commented:

“We will be offering Members access to well over 400 face-to-face events during 2020, and the Investment Forums get us off to a great start.  The agenda has been curated to deliver a truly valuable and relevant day to advisers, featuring a breadth of insight from industry leading names.  Investment Forums are one of our flagship series of events and, on average, we welcome nearly 1400 delegates across the 21 venues.

“The Investment Forums run twice a year and offers a broad, high-quality, overview of the entire market.  Later in 2020, we’ll be hosting series of more specialised events on tax-efficient investments, ESG and SRI and, for the first time, intergenerational advice.”

The SimplyBiz Investment Forums run from the 4 February until the 26 March.
